It's Pretty Obvious Fando's fic discussions should take a hiatus

In the meantime, I would encourage folks to continue contributing feedback to the existing threads, particularly the most recent: "Coloring Outside the Lines", and to join belle's more general fic discussions in the X-Files Fanfic sub-forum.
Thanks to everyone who provided honest feedback and to authors who put their stories up for public discussion.

Ahhhhgggg.... I suck. I feel so bad about this. I so wanted to participate more, but alas... I didn't. I'm hoping after my move things will settle down. I mean, I'll be living with my parents in my old bedroom, so I should have more time, LOL! (Temporarily, I should add). :)

I'd love to. :coffee:
How did you all go about it in the past? Did you notify the writer in advance?

Previously we asked authors to volunteer one of their stories (two if the stories were short), but we don't have to do it that way. I think we're open to new ideas at this point.
FYI, there are a few people on the old list we didn't critique. We stopped after #8: angie aka Emily Sim, due to declining participation. Some of these authors might still want to receive some honest feedback. As for me, I haven't written anything new since Abaddon's Reign  so wouldn't mind if you removed me from the list.

I think this sounds great. I just posted a topic over at IWTB to ask our writers what they think and whether or not they would participate. So many writers want an honest critique that is handled constructively and with respect.
Of course, there is no way we should remove a/k/a Jake from the list because we're all going to nudge her back into writing. :giggle: btw..... Jake, can you email at paigec38[at]yahoo[dot]com. I have a favor to ask.

Good grab, xd! Don't let her get away with it! :str:
So you haven't written for a while. Pick a story you've always wondered about. What could have been done differently? Was there something missing? Should you have taken it in a different direction? After revising the story I posted here for comments, I can understand why you enjoy doing that so much, Twinsy. :D It was very refreshing to see it through someone elses' eyes.
